The Reproductive System for Platyhelminthes
For flatworms, and other Platyhelminthes, they have both male and female reproductive parts, making them a hemaphrodite. The can either go through the process of asexual or sexual reproduction. Because it has both genders parts, it does not need a partner to mate with. By going through asexual reproduction, it lets a piece of itself be taken off, and that part actually grows into another flatworm. By having this ability, flatworms are very skilled. Most of the time, flatworms choose to reproduce sexually, instead of asexually. Its quicker, much safer and easier. It also helps the species evolve faster.
